Lia Montelongo is originally from Chicago where she began her path into fitness and personal training over fifteen years ago. She realized the importance of healthy choices early in her teenage years. She started teaching dance and exercise classes in her neighborhood park district and choreographed dance numbers for the cheerleading team and assisted in physical education classes.

At age nineteen she was already a certified Personal Trainer and group exercise instructor in downtown Chicago. She found the Fitness America Pageant that same year which motivated her to compete at the National level. At only twenty years old, Lia won the Miss Fitness Chicago title which placed her into the Team Universe Championships where she placed seventeenth out of eighty competitors. The Championships were the beginning of many more competitions and titles including the FAME International competition in Canada where she placed thirteenth. In 2008 Lia won the regional title for Fitness America California.

Lia has had the opportunity to work with all types of clients - from the overweight and out of shape mom that wants to loose the baby belly to corporate business professionals to professional athletes (including members of the Chicago Bulls and Olympic level Ice Skaters). Staying at the forefront of fitness and wellness, Lia has traveled throughout the country participating in numerous fitness workshops and trade shows. She is passionate about motivating others to realize the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle. Lia listens to her client's goals and gives a true assessment to best assist a well-balanced program that will achieve their goals.
